Refurbishing Rooms We extend our sincere appreciation to the people and Lions Clubs that have committed to adopt and/or readopted rooms at the center. The rooms have varying needs ranging from fresh paint, bedspreads, electric outlets, ADA approved handles on the doors, new or repaired floors, cabinet and drawer fronts, mattresses, end tables, bookcases, and so much more. We will be asking for adoptions on this project until July of 2020 with a recognition and celebration in November. We need $1,000 per room. A gold plaque naming the donating Club or individual donor will be put on the adopted room’s door. You can truly make a difference.

40th Anniversary the McCune Community hit the big 4-0. There was a spectacular celebration at the Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain with a sensational meal headed up by Lion Dr. Mary Sedgwick, the president of the WNC Board of Directors. Recognition was given to Karen Calhoun for all that she does for VIPs and Laura Inman did a heart-touching memorial for Bill Osborn. Max Bumgardner spoke elegantly about the staff and the residents Doris Stewart and Louis Atchison spoke highly of the administrator and staff. Thank you for your kind words.

Christmas Parties abound, gifts are being wrapped and kindness and Christmas cheer surrounds us. Our trees are beautiful this year as are our decorations. We are so blessed and so grateful. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. We are so fortunate to have such a supportive community.
Merry Christmas!
